Looking closely, you will notice the impressive cannabinoid profile of these gummies. In addition to the major cannabinoids, they also contain minor yet important non-intoxicating compounds like CBC and CBG. These gummies offer a relaxing effect that won’t get you too intoxicated or too sleepy. You can choose from two flavors, Blue Raspberry and Watermelon, and enjoy a fruity experience. These gummies have been tested by a third-party, certified lab like all our products.

What is Hemp-Derived Delta 9 THC?

Delta 9 THC is a psychotropic chemical compound associated with the cannabis “high.” It’s found in both hemp and marijuana but in different concentrations. In hemp, it’s present in less than 0.3%, which is the federally allowed limit. When derived from legal hemp flowers and infused in products in a concentration of less than 0.3%, delta 9 is also considered legal.

Aside from its intoxicating properties, THC is a well-known cannabinoid used in the medical field. Research shows that THC can potentially help with symptoms like pain and inflammation, nausea and vomiting, and sleep issues. THC shows better results when combined with other cannabinoids and terpenes.

Legal Delta 9 THC and Federal Law

Hemp, the non-intoxicating Cannabis sativa variety, is legal under the federal Farm Bill of 2018. This plant produces low amounts of THC (less than 0.3%), for which it differs from marijuana that’s high in THC.

When the bill legalized hemp, it removed it from the list of controlled substances, classified together with drugs with no accepted medical use. Due to the many uses of hemp and growing number of scientific studies that show its potential health benefits, the plant was removed from the list. The Farm Bill defines hemp as:

“The term ‘hemp’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis [1].”

Marijuana is high in THC and is still a Schedule I substance. As a result, delta 9 extracted from marijuana is also federally illegal. A product infused with delta 9 can make up no more than 0.3% by dry weight.

THC gummies also contain cannabidiol (CBD), which is yet to be regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Farm Bill appointed the federal agency to regulate adding CBD into food and beverages. Because CBD is an already approved drug for epilepsy, the FDA doesn’t allow CBD’s use as a dietary supplement due to lack of research.

Edible CBD products are being sold without official FDA approval and regulatory measures. However, the federal agency tolerates their distribution so long as they come from hemp and are not marketed under any health claims.

Yes, it will. Whether extracted from hemp or marijuana, delta 9 will get you high.

Hemp is the federally legal cannabis variety with less than 0.3% delta 9 THC.

According to research, delta 9 is twice more potent than delta 8 when used in the same dose. That said, delta 8 also produces milder effects and doesn’t get the user extremely “high.”
