Before the Farm Bill of 2018, the state of Louisiana had no legal distinction between hemp and cannabis. And yet, hemp cigarettes and other CBD products were readily available in smoke shops throughout the state.
But since Governor John Bel Edwards signed the new hemp law, some regulations have been put in place, which may inhibit some individuals from attaining their CBD.
How have the laws affected smokables like hemp cigarettes, though?
Never fear, Mr. Hemp Flower’s got you covered.

Benefits and Uses of Hemp Cigarettes
Hemp cigarettes are great for their convenience and ease of use, but they offer other benefits, too: for one, it may help curb a smoking habit.
according to a blind study from the University College London, nicotine-dependent subjects who were given CBD reduced cigarette usage by 40%, while those who took placebos noticed no difference.
And for that reason, cigarette users find the use of hemp flower cigarettes as a useful transitional step in quitting.
Not only are hemp cigarettes relaxing and offer some familiarity, but they can even offer the full spectrum of cannabinoids found in unrefined hemp.
This can further promote the synergistic connection between all cannabinoids, which is known as the entourage effect, and may promote CBD’s overall benefits.
While you can read more about the benefits of hemp flower here, smoking hemp flower cigarettes may offer their own unique set of benefits for the user, especially for those trying to quit nicotine addiction.
Is It Legal To Buy CBD Cigarettes in Louisiana?
So now, you may be wondering: are CBD cigarettes legal in Louisiana?
The signing of House Bill 491 did legalize the growing and selling of industrial hemp while giving CBD a distinct definition from marijuana. Additionally, the Bill outlines what forms of hemp-derived CBD products are legal within the state.
However, CBD cigarettes are not currently a part of this list and are therefore illegal in Louisiana.
Hemp smokables are explicitly HB 491. §1470, “No person shall: (1) Process any part of hemp for inhalation.”
The ban also applies to any form of food products, alcoholic beverages, and dietary supplements containing CBD. Meanwhile, CBD oils are fine and can be freely purchased by individuals everywhere.
Interestingly though, there is a loophole for smoking hemp flower in Louisiana.
According to §1481 of ACT341/HB 843, “No person shall process or sell: 1.) any part of hemp for inhalation, except rolling papers.”
That being said, rolling papers are the one exception to the hemp cig ban in Louisiana.
Anyone who wishes to grow or sell hemp in the state may do so, as long as they have the necessary licensing, and they must adhere to the labeling guidelines put out by the state.
With that in mind, we encourage fellow licensed vendors to take a look at our wholesale site, where you’ll find organic, USA-grown full spectrum hemp, along with all the premium smokables, edibles, and full-spectrum tinctures your business needs, and at an unbeatable value.
Choosing Quality: Where to Buy the Best CBD Cigarettes in Louisiana

Let’s go over how Mr. Hemp Flower delivers on all of your CBD needs.
Proof in the Results: Terpenes in Mr. Hemp Flower Hemp Cigarettes
One of the biggest reasons why individuals enjoy hemp cigarettes is its full spectrum benefits, meaning that you’re going to get all the naturally-occurring compounds found in hemp, including CBD, CBG, and a wide variety of beneficial terpenes.
But your hemp cigs’ chance of reaching the entourage effect can vary with the way hemp was cultivated, harvested and processed. And this is well worth considering, as some brands will cut corners, resulting in a lower-quality smoke.
That’s why our Hemp Cigarettes are made with domestic hemp grown by experienced farmers throughout Colorado, Washington State, and Oregon, making for a smoke break primed for promoting the entourage effect.
On our site, we have all of our certificates of analysis fully accessible, and you can see our lab tests for hemp cigs here.

Quality Craftsmanship & Customer Service
Lots of brands will just fill their hemp cigarettes with ground-up hemp flower, call it done, and then slap a label on the carton touting the “pure hemp” found in their products.
While there’s nothing wrong with a blend of strictly hemp flower, we step it up by adding kief to our signature blend.
Kief, which has the appearance and consistency of an ultra-fine, lightweight dust, comes from the resinous trichomes found in hemp, as well as with cannabis.
The kief in hemp flower is made up of the resinous glands that house the CBD and terpenes, so sifting together just a pinch can transform your hemp smoking experience.
On top of that, our hemp flower cigarettes are nicotine and tobacco-free, making them a popular alternative to traditional cigarettes.
Last but not least, we have unbeatable customer service. Here are some of our reviews from real customers:
“Love this company and every one of their products!! Amazing quality products and great customer service/updates on orders.”
“Good stuff and excellent customer service as well. The total package!”

Our customer service representatives are easy to reach with any inquiries you might have, which you can submit here. On a typical business day, we usually answer our customers’ questions within 3-4 hours.
