Delta 9 Tennessee

The future of cannabis is here and in the form of whole-plant medicine. Our brand new hemp compliant Delta 9 THC Gummies are full spectrum and formulated to bring you the optimal experience. Can you buy hemp-derived Δ9-THC gummies in Tennessee? Let’s look at the current state of hemp laws and regulations in the Volunteer State.

What Is Hemp-Derived Delta 9 THC

Hemp-derived delta 9 THC is extracted directly from the hemp plant as opposed to marijuana. The origin of this compound is essential for the legal side of things. While marijuana plants can contain up to 25% delta 9, the cap on hemp plants is less than 0.3 percent by weight.

As the primary psychotropic compound in cannabis, delta 9 THC is responsible for the recreational “high” associated with the plant. But, Δ9-THC is much more than a cannabinoid that makes the user “stoned” because of its numerous health benefits

This compound can help with pain and inflammation, anxiety, depression, nausea, insomnia, and poor appetite. But, it blossoms when combined and used with other legal compounds like CBD and terpenes.

You’re probably wondering how in the world these are legal? Well, it’s simple, really. These gummies are derived from organic hemp grown by licensed farmers in North Carolina and Washington.

We’ve taken a larger gummy, infused it with full spectrum THC extract, and created a legal product with less than 0.3% total delta 9 THC. Each gummy contains 10mg of delta 9 and comes in a package of five gummies or 50mg Δ9-THC per package

Gummies are one of the tasties hemp products that offer convenience and a more precise dose than oils and tinctures. You can take them anywhere you go, which is especially appreciated if you suffer from pain, anxiety or other ailments and need to carry them around.

Our gummies are currently available in two flavors, watermelon and blue raspberry. These gummies are potent (will pack a punch) and effective due to the entourage effect. But, most importantly, they are the first hemp products on the market that offer the benefits of true full spectrum hemp extract.

If you look at the Certificate of Analysis of this product, you’ll be blown away. They contain 15 mg of cannabidiol (CBD), which balances the effects of delta 9 — and 7mg delta 8 THC

The extract is enriched with fresh, naturally derived terpenes and flavonoids, which are proven to work in synergy with cannabinoids to enhance the potency of the extract. Other minor cannabinoids present in this product are cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN), cannabichromene (CBC), and more.

These gummies are perfect for anyone looking for a top-shelf product that helps you relax and unwind without getting you too stimulated. They deliver a great dosage of THC, which won’t make you too drowsy, fatigued, or paranoid.

If this is your first time trying them, make sure you start with half a gummy and wait for an hour to see how your body is going to react.

Legality of Hemp Delta 9 THC in Tennessee

Are hemp compliant delta 9 THC gummies legal in Tennessee?

The short answer is yes. Full spectrum hemp delta 9 THC gummies are as legal as any full spectrum CBD product sold in Tennessee.

Tennessee Hemp Laws

Under state law in Tennessee, for a hemp product to be legal, it must contain less than 0.3 percent Δ9-THC by dry weight. Because our 10mg delta 9 gummies comply with this rule, they are 100% legal in Tennessee.

After the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, the state abides by standards described in the bill. In the Volunteer State, hemp products must be sold with a verified lab report that confirms the product contains less than .3% THC.

The two main bills relevant to cannabis enacted in Tennessee before the 2018 Farm Bill are Senate Bill 2125 and House BIll 2144

The first one excluded cannabis oil, flower, and seeds with less than .6% THC from the definition of marijuana. The second bill allowed the manufacture and possession of cannabis with .9% THC by patients with epilepsy who enrolled in clinical research that investigated the medical benefits of the cannabis plant.

Tennessee doesn’t have a medical marijuana program, so this law is the closest to it. Recently, the state minimally expanded its medical marijuana law, which now allows people with conditions other than epilepsy to legally buy cannabis oil with less than .3% THC.

CBD flower products must be sold in a sealed container, while the possession of marijuana with higher amounts of THC is considered illegal. Possession of half an ounce of weed in this state is considered a misdemeanor. It’s punished with a fine of up to $250 and up to a year in jail.

Hemp Compliant Delta 9 THC and Federal Law

The 2018 Farm Bill legalized the growth, manufacture, and sale of hemp and hemp products with less than 0.3% Δ9-THC.

Federal law removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act

If you’ve been following the progress of hemp laws and regulations, you know that the 2018 Farm Bill legalized the hemp plant and its cannabinoids. The main distinction between hemp and federally illegal marijuana is the level of Δ9-THC they contain.

Federally, hemp plant and hemp-derived products cannot contain over 0.3% delta 9 THC by weight. Federal law defines hemp broadly:

“The term ‘hemp’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis [1].”

When the 2018 Farm Bill legalized this plant, it removed it from the list of Controlled Substances. Marijuana, on the other hand, is still a scheduled substance federally, though some states have decided to decriminalize or legalize it for recreational purposes.

One of the main hurdles around the hemp industry is the distribution and sale of consumable products. Namely, the US Food and Drug Administration hasn’t approved the use of cannabinoids like cannabidiol (CBD) in edibles or dietary supplements.

This hasn’t stopped manufacturers from selling these products or states from regulating them. The only requirement is that they don’t market them under health claims or as dietary supplements.

While this question is still under investigation by the FDA, opponents to the legality of high-THC hemp-derived products claim that such products cannot be legal because they are intoxicating.

It’s true that this clashes with the original idea behind hemp’s legalization as a non-marijuana-like plant. But, the main distinction between these plants and products derived from them is rooted in the levels of Δ9-THC they contain. Therefore, if a product contains less than 0.3% delta 9, it’s perfectly legal under federal law regardless if it’s intoxicating or not.
