Hemp is a versatile plant with a myriad of applications in different industries, including food and nutrition, textile, health care, energy, technology, etc. The many uses of this plant come from its versatile varieties cultivated by growers. Hemp cultivation is divided into growing three main categories: fiber, grain, and high cannabinoid (CBD). The last variety is used for CBD-rich hemp flower and oil extraction

“For the first time since 1937, the American farmer can legally engage in hemp cultivation in most states.”

“Hemp cultivation for high-CBD yields is a challenging but rewarding process.”

What is Hemp Cultivation?

Cultivation of the hemp plant can start from seed or clone in an indoor or outdoor environment. Farmers use both natural and artificial light, soil or soilless methods like hydroponics and aeroponics. Proper cultivation requires a suitable seed or clone, optional temperature, light, water, nutrients, and humidity levels. Some of the challenges cultivators face when growing this plant are pests, wind, and rain.
