Cartridge … What Is It Exactly? See Here

Cartridge

ˈkärtrij | Noun

Pre-filled cartridges are mini vape tanks of cannabis oil or concentrate typically used with an e-cigarette or vape rig. Also known as “carts,” they are specially designed for liquids like cannabidiol (CBD) oil, delta-8 THC oil, or CBD concentrates. Carts come in multiple formats, including standard 510-threaded cartridges that twist onto a battery and pods that use a magnet to snap into place.

“My friends gave me a CBD wax cartridge for my birthday; my evenings have been a blast ever since.”

“I love how practical CBD cartridges are; I can use them at any time of the day.”

Difference Between THC and CBD Cartridge

What’s the difference between a THC oil cartridge and a CBD oil cartridge? As the name suggests, a THC oil cart is dominant in tetrahydrocannabinol or the psychotropic compound that elicits a mind-altering state. Cannabidiol derived from hemp, on the other hand, doesn’t. A cartridge that’s more dominant in CBD and contains less than 0.3% THC is unlikely to get the user any feeling but could offer substantial medicinal benefits.

Cartridges are available in different flavors, including Lemon Cake, Girl Scout Cookies, Lavender Vanilla, etc. The material used to build them can affect the flavor of the oil or concentrate. For example, those built with ceramic tanks offer a lower risk of ruining the flavor because they don’t rely on a wick or metallic coil to vaporize the concentrate.

Pre-Filled Vape Pens vs. DIY Dab Carts

The difference between these two types of smokable devices is that pre-filled cartridges are so much easier to use. The user simply presses a button on the cartridge, and the cart is ready to use, whereas dab carts need to be inserted into the dab pen, which may complicate things.

Final Thoughts

A vape cart is a glass cartridge pre-filled with a half-gram or a gram of cannabidiol oil, delta-8 oil, or any other type of cannabis oil.
