Where to Buy Premium Delta-10 Products in Alabama

Delta 10 Alabama

If you love CBD or Delta-8 THC, you’ve probably heard of the novel hemp THC on the market — Delta-10. This compound piques the curiosity of every cannabinoid lover. As an Alabama resident who wants to try D-10 products, you’re probably wondering whether they are legal. And, if they are, where to buy tested and safe D-10 THC?.

Is It Legal: Alabama Delta-10 THC Laws

The short and simple answer is

YES

Delta-10 THC is LEGAL in Alabama.

What Is Delta-10 THC?

Delta-10 tetrahydrocannabinol (D-10 THC) is a minor hemp derivative existing in trace amounts in the hemp plant. As a THC isomer, this cannabinoid shares the identical formula with Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC but a different arrangement of atoms.

Delta-10 THC is roughly half as potent as Delta-9 THC and around the same potency as Delta-8 THC. Wondering what its effects are? This substance is better than Delta-9 for promoting a creative, flow state and better focus. The intoxication this cannabinoid produces is milder but less sedative than Delta-8.

Continued, Is Delta-10 THC Legal in Alabama?

Hemp-derived Delta-10 THC is LEGAL in Alabama.

Alabama doesn’t explicitly prohibit the distribution and sale of D-10 THC. The state was brewing a legislative ban on Delta-8 and Delta-10 THC. Luckily, the industry dodged a bullet when Alabama lawmakers removed an amendment from House Bill 2 that passed into law in late April and would have banned these two tetrahydrocannabinols.

Because Delta-10 is legal to buy in Alabama, you can order safe and potent D-10 products online.

The state updated its hemp laws to match the 2018 Farm Bill. Alabama legalized hemp and all hemp derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, and isomers except for Delta-9 THC. The bill amended the definition of hemp to match federal regulations.

Based on the current law, Delta-10 THC is not considered a controlled substance in the Cotton State. Alabama amended the state’s Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to remove hemp-derived tetrahydrocannabinols from its list of controlled substances.

Delta-10 THC and Federal Law

Is Delta-10 THC legal on a federal level? Similar to Delta-8 THC, the legality of this hemp tetrahydrocannabinol is up in the air.

Technically, this substance is legal under the 2018 Farm Bill if made from hemp or the cannabis variety that contains less than 0.3% THC. If made from marijuana (THC levels over 0.3%), it’s illegal.

Unlike other cannabinoids, the hemp plant doesn’t produce D-10 THC in meaningful concentrations. The most common method chemists use to produce D-10 is by converting CBD derived from hemp into Delta-9. And after that, they convert Delta-9 into Delta-10 THC.

This processing method makes D-10 THC an artifact of cannabinoid production, which makes it semi-synthetic. But, because it comes from hemp compounds, it’s technically considered a hemp derivative.

In August 2020, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) released its Interim Final Rule that stated that any synthetically-derived THC is a Schedule I substance on a federal level. The rule is pending final disposition, so the DEA does not speculate on the legality of tetrahydrocannabinols until the process is complete.

Is Delta-10 synthetic? That’s up for debate because this substance, although semi-synthetic, is made from hemp compounds. But, most importantly, it’s not even close to the dangers that true “synthetic” THC can cause to the user. Truly, the biggest threat comes from untested products spreading on the market. This goes on to show that regulation is better than prohibition. For now, this substance exists in a gray legal area on a federal level.

Bottom line

As of this writing, the Cotton State doesn’t explicitly prohibit the distribution and sale of this compound. If you want to buy Delta-10 in Alabama, check the local and state laws. Also, choose an established and reliable brand like Mr. Hemp Flower.
